A Message from Ela C. Roa Jones, President 2020-23

Whenever I cross the threshold of our beautiful historic clubhouse affectionately referred to as ‘The Grand Old Lady,’ I reflect as to what the founding women of our club worked so hard to achieve for women of their era, as well as their visions for future generations. This is why I have chosen the theme, ‘Women Helping Women’ of all ages, ethnicity, and cultures for my two-year term in office as the new WTCC President.

Our founders worked steadfastly to bring together a sisterhood that only you can experience when you join our team. Through volunteer service on philanthropic projects for the women and children of the Eagle Rock community and beyond, the women of our club develop an inner sense of satisfaction and reward as they work together to achieve worthwhile goals.

Another example of our club’s commitment to ‘Women Helping Women’ is exemplified by our annual scholarship to a graduating Eagle Rock High School young woman whose educational goal is to become a teacher.

I believe that a single person achieves very little, so I am counting on the support and strength of our members to both maintain and extend the goal of a community-centered organization where ‘Women Helping Women’ is a primary focus.
